Traditionally trained (i.e. He’s been doing this how long???) photographer, Brett (Downen Photography) discovered cosplay photography when his better known wife (Downen Creative Studios) discovered her love of all things cosplay. With a long history spanning many photographic genres and mediums, Brett discovered a passion for the portrait-like qualities of cosplay along with the amazing melding of more characters and genres than he’d ever imagine he could capture in a lifetime. Today, Brett not only performs cosplay photography from coast-to-coast, he loves teaching his craft and is always happy to share techniques and strategies to anyone silly enough to ask.
