OVERVIEW

Holiday Matsuri welcomes credentialed press outlets and media to cover our event. We are happy to provide approved members with complimentary Press Passes for the convention. 

Press access is limited to active media outlets and qualified members of their respective outlets. These include (blogs, print news, radio, TV) these outlets must produce regular editorial contributions. Press members may be Writers, Reporters, Reviewers, Producers, Photographers, and cameramen who are attending the invitee with the specific goal of covering Holiday Matsuri.

Holiday Matsuri does not provide badges to Photographers looking to solicit paid photoshoots at the event.

APPLICATION INFO

Please read through the policies before applying for Press at Holiday Matsuri

• Press Passes are non-transferable. You are prohibited from sharing or selling your pass. Those found to be in violation of this may be subject to removal from the event and barred from applying for future events.
  
• Please complete one application for your entire organization, you will be provided the opportunity to request your required number of passes during the application process.
  
• All press credentials MUST be approved prior to the event by Holiday Matsuri Press Team, and no approval will be granted on-site. Completion of this application is not a confirmation or a guarantee of a press pass.
• Applying for press credentials does not automatically grant you approval. A media outlet that was approved in the prior year is not guaranteed approval for the current year.
• You must complete the full application by the deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be reviewed.
• Those granted press credentials will need to present a photo ID and/or represented media outlet credentials (if applicable) at Press Registration.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PRESS:

• Be age 18 years of age or older.
• Media outlets/organizations must have been established for at least 2 years.
• Accepted applicants must Provide at least three examples of work (articles, reports, etc.) from your media outlet, a copy of press credentials, and also (if applicable) a letter of intent on company letterhead from your outlet to cover the event.
• Furnish your article(s) and coverage links once the content has been finished within 30 days of the event ending (no later than January 21, 2024).

DECISIONS ARE FINAL

Holiday Matsuri reserves the right to approve or deny any application. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Include any and all information in your application that will allow our team to make an informed decision.

AFTER THE EVENT

To maintain good standing, Holiday Matsuri accepted press applicants to post coverage of the event. Your article(s) and coverage links once the content has been finished must be submitted within 30 days of the event ending (no later than January 21st, 2024).

‍Press members who violate any of the outlined policies on this page may have their badges immediately removed and/or blacklisted from future Holiday Matsuri events.
