2. Participation Requirements
Participants must apply online by October 25, 2021 to be qualified for the Contest. Last application accepted must be submitted by October 25, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET. All applicants must pre-purchase a pass to the Event, which must be a badge that is valid for at least Sunday of the Event.
Each applicant can only enter ONE of the contests either The Craftsmanship Contest or The Cosplay Performance Contest.
Applicants for entering The Craftsmanship Contest are not eligible to win any of the prizes being awarded in The Cosplay Performance Contest and vice versa.
Applicants entering The Cosplay Performance Contest should understand that contestants are required to perform a skit as a duo in order to be eligible to win certain prizes. Please see the specifications below as to what is required to qualify for each international award.

3. Cosplay Preview Requirements
Every entry must include photo samples of your cosplay work. These photos can be of completed cosplays that you have made or work in-progress shots of cosplays you are currently working on. These do not have to be of the cosplay that you are entering with. These will be used along with the entrant’s social media in order to select the contestants:

  • Three pictures must be provided with application.
  • Tall pictures must be GIF, JPG or PNG.

For applications that also put on a skit, they must provide a breakdown of the Skit. While a video has no effect on the selection process, it can serve as an alternative to the writeup of the breakdown of the skit. If selected for the Performance Contest a full video of the skit will be required.

4. Reference Requirements
Each Entry must include pictures for reference material for the cosplay.

  • Pictures must include official versions of the reference material.
  • No fanart will be accepted.

5. WIP At-Show Requirements
All entrants must provide a digital Build book no more than 10 pages long when they are accepted as a contestant. These Build books will be provided to the judges prior to pre-judging for them to review. A sample build book will be provided so contestants can format them correctly.

6. Audio Provisions
If accepted, contestants must provide an Audio File that will be played during their performance at Pre-Judging and at the Contest on stage. The following requirements apply for this audio file:

  • Audio File must be MP3, MP4, AVI or MPG (MPEG).
  • Audio File must be submitted to the Contest Team using a private link to the Contest Inbox by November 10, 2021.
  • Audio File must be between 45 seconds and 150 seconds and must only include the audio the group wishes to perform to. Help will be provided if you have any issues trying to edit audio files so that it conforms to this length.
  • Audio File must be of a standard codec, and must not require any external installs.

7. Background Visuals
If the applicants wish to have a background image or video to be performing in front of, they may submit this.
