Kirk Thornton, the voice of Shadow the Hedgehog, had a solid career in theatre, film, and TV before discovering voice acting. Directors recognized his talent for dubbing, leading to roles such as Askeladd in Vinland Saga, Gabumon and various Gaurumons in Digimon, Jin in Samurai Champloo, Tanjuro in Demon Slayer, Kisame and Shukaku in Naruto, Yujiro Hanma in Baki, Klein in Sword Art Online, Don Patch in Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, and Saito in Rurouni Kenshin. His video game roles include Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog, Igor in various Persona games, Saïx in Kingdom Hearts, Jade Curtiss in Tales of the Abyss, and Benjamin Bayu in Starfield, along with appearances in The Last of Us Part II and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. He has also voiced the iconic trilogy of characters as Batman, Superman, and Jesus.
Thornton’s other projects include Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Love, Death & Robots, Clarence, Hotel Transylvania, and Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. As a director, his credits include Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Kingdom Hearts, and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw.
